I started writing Prelude to Being Mrs. Hemingway on July 27, 2007 and I finished it on November 2, 2007. I'm very proud of the fact that Prelude was the first Toby Hemingway fanfiction ever written and shared, and that I've inspired others to write about him. I decided to write my story centered around Toby Hemingway the person as opposed to Reid Garwin the character because so many people have already written "The Covenant" fanfiction and I wanted to write something different. When I wrote about Toby, I tried to separate him from his character Reid because I don't believe that Toby is Reid. I think I've come a long way with the Prelude story and with my writing skills. I can honestly say that writing Prelude gave me the opportunity to improve myself. I've never written serious fanfiction so this story was my first attempt. Writing about Toby is fun, though I must say it was difficult because there's not much information available on the Internet about him. And since I don't know him personally, I had no idea what he's like in reality. But at the same time, the lack of information allowed me to get creative and use my own imagination to envision how I believe him to be. Even though his MySpace profile has been long gone, I'm thankful I had a chance to see it because it really helped me to build a foundation for his personality and develop a fictional romance for him.

The story of Toby & Bridget is a supernatural romance that begins with Prelude to Being Mrs. Hemingway, and concludes in the sequel To Love a Hemingway. Their love story is full of passion but it also has drama and angst. Three of the Prelude companion pieces A Lesson in Sex-Ed, Bridget's Angels, and Room Service are strictly erotica for your titillating pleasure. The other companion piece Bridget and the Four Drunken Warlocks is humor and the plot was chosen by the majority of my readers in a "reader's choice" poll.

Rating: Prelude to Being Mrs. Hemingway, A Lesson in Sex-Ed, Bridget's Angels, Room Service, and To Love a Hemingway are rated NC-17 for graphic sexual content, explicit language, and/or violence. Toby & Bridget Drabbles & Ficlets, and Bridget and the Four Drunken Warlocks are rated PG-13 for explicit language.
